Someone calling himself Bristol Soap Box picked up on my post about Pale Males, so I popped over to visit, and found a new toy on his blog: ClustrMaps. This nifty McGyver shows where your lurkers live (you can see it at the bottom of my page)  Click on the pic to enlarge the graphic, and get instructions for installing your own ClustrMap.

…well, it’s something for US to play with, while Vince and Matt play around with our comments…

For the past ten years or so, affirmative action has ensured that economically active white males have found it increasingly difficult to enter, or even remain in, the corporate workplace.  Many of these men have emigrated, while others have started their own businesses.  Professionals have accepted more lowly positions, just to ensure the survival of their families.

However, over the past year, there has been an interesting shift in this phenomenon (in Cape Town, at least).  Many of the men who were removed from the formal sector are now being lured back with astronomical salaries – particularly in the building industry.

Having spoken to historians and military men about the Luka Jantje incident, my jigsaw puzzle is starting to come together (Some pieces are missing and some are in the wrong place, no doubt.  Perhaps pieces from other puzzles have inadvertently been included)
